Artist Emulation

As a photography student at Spain Park, we had to emulate an artist. I chose Jeremy Turner, a landscape photographer. The following text is about this artist, and an example of his work. The three pictures after this are my pictures emulating him.

Jeremy Turner

Turner was born in England, but was raised in Australia. After he finish school, he had jobs that varied from being a painter to working in a photo-processing lab. He has also studied classical piano. He decided to spend time traveling-he did a long-distance cycle touring in Europe. He fell in love with the outdoors, and picked up landscape photography. He took a second trip to New Zealand for four months. Once he got back to Sydney, he got his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, and then received his PhD in molecular biology. Then he worked as a Post-Doctoral research guy, first in Sydney, then at the University of New South Wales. His love for photography really grew as he went around New Zealand, and while studying. He has been inspired by many landscape photographers. Names like Ansel Adams and the Westons. Australian and New Zealand artist include Peter Dumbrovskis, Peter Lik, Nic Bishop, Craig Potton, Peter Jarver, and Pete Dobre. He now lives in Canberra near many National parks like Morton and Croajingolong National Parks. His hope is that people will see his work, and have a better attitude toward our planet.
He has many clients, from companies to private collectors worldwide. Some are the HildenDesign company in Germany, Freeman Productions and Calorma-he takes photos for calenders, and ICBO conference photographer.
